Better Days Start HERE.

Javion started the school year by getting off the bus in our parking lot and walking to his house after school. Once Ms. Natalie saw this, she knew she had to invite him to become a Club Member.

"BGC makes my day a lot better - EVERY. DAY. I get to be around people my age, some who I go to school with," said 6th grader, Javion. "Before coming back, I didn't realize how much I was missing out on without coming to the Club."

This 12-year-old came to the Boys & Girls Club starting in Kindergarten, but stopped once his sisters went to high school. If it weren't for the Club, he said he would be playing video games at home instead of gaining enrichment within our Club walls.

"I’ve seen a lot of people who went to the Boys & Girls Club when they were around my age who now are successful in high school - sports AND homework wise," Javion admitted. "Anytime we ask for help from the staff members with our homework, we get it!"

Javion would like to thank Ms. Natalie for the opportunity that he KNOWS some people don't get. He feels so lucky to walk through our doors every day after getting off the bus.
