AmeriCorps mission is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service & volunteering. Through a variety of programs such as AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service to America). It is an opportunity to join the front lines in the fight against poverty by strengthening organizations, uplifting communities, and creating sustainable solutions.
Through the Boys & Girls Club of North Louisiana, VISTA Summer Associates has the opportunity to make an impact on youth this summer, with youth day camps for ages 5–14. Group leaders guide youth in daily STEM, arts, recreation, academic enrichment, and field trip activities.
