Building Great Futures

Two of our administrative staff members took it upon themselves to organize a way for 18 teens in the area to be a part of Grambling State University's High School Day this past weekend. "Everything was so new to them," said Leondre W., Unit Director. "Some of them have never been outside of the city they are from, especially not to a college campus." All members brought to Grambling had questions about applying to college, on campus activities, and what they should major in. One even asked "how do you go to college" wondering the steps he needed to take NOW.

Our teens got to experience not only talking to each college and deparment offered, they also attended the Grambling State football game and got to eat in the cafeteria after! "We wanted to make a packed day worthwhile for our teens," stated Jeff Miller, Teen Director.
