Welcome Back, Everett!

After two years of not attending after-school programming due to the pandemic, 8-year-old Everett returned to the Evergreen Unit. He asked his parents repeatedly when he could come back because he missed everything BGC has to offer! He was most excited to see Eli, one of his friends from when he was younger. Everett and Eli go to different schools, so they got the chance to reconnect at the Club.

"My favorite part of being back so far is being back in the gym," said Everett. "I love to play basketball with my group leader and everyone else. It's much better than being at school all day."

Everett's favorite thing to do at the Boys & Girls Club, other than play basketball, is to finish his homework during Power Hour. He felt so welcomed on his first day when he got to see Unit Director, Mr. Leondre, once again.
